The Victory Services Club (VSC) has been named a finalist in the Best In-House Caterer – Venue Operated category at the London Venue & Catering Awards 2026.
The recognition celebrates the achievements of VSC’s in-house catering team, led by Executive Chef Paul Mattocks, which provides catering for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, military reunions, private dining and member events.
During 2025, the team served more than 84,000 covers and generated over £3 million in food and beverage revenue. Their flexible approach enables them to create bespoke menus for a wide range of events, while accommodating increasingly complex dietary requirements without compromising the quality or presentation of the food.
The team’s achievements extend beyond the kitchen. VSC holds Gold EcoSmart accreditation and maintains food waste at just 2–5%, supported by responsible sourcing, careful use of ingredients and herbs grown in the Club’s rooftop garden. Its commitment to developing culinary talent has also delivered competitive success, with two team members securing second and third places in the 2025 League of Chefs Pastry Competition.
Mark Field, General Manager of the Victory Services Club, said: “Being named a finalist is wonderful recognition for Paul and the entire catering team. They combine skill, creativity and flexibility with a genuine commitment to making every guest feel welcome, whatever their individual requirements. What makes their work particularly special is that every successful event also contributes to our charitable mission, helping us provide welfare support and respite breaks for serving and former members of the Armed Forces and their families.”
The shortlisting follows VSC retaining Hospitality Assured World Class status in 2026, with an overall score of 84.2%.
